URGENT CALL TO ACTION – PROTECT RCFEs!
6Beds, the leading advocacy organization for small RCFEs, is mobilizing to oppose SB 433, SB 434, & SB 435. These harmful bills will threaten the future of small RCFEs, making it harder for us to serve vulnerable seniors:
• SB 433 – Rent Control: Limits our ability to cover rising costs, forcing small homes out of the ALW program.
• SB 434 – 90-Day Eviction Notice: Creates unnecessary delays, restricting providers’ ability to manage care.
• SB 435 – Emergency Backup Power: Imposes costly, unrealistic mandates that many small homes simply can’t afford.
These bills must be opposed unless amended to protect our RCFEs!
ACTION PLAN – SHOW UP & SPEAK OUT!
Date: April 7, 2025 (Monday) – Meet at State Capitol at 2 PM
Hearing at 3 PM Senate Human Services Committee
We Will Stand Together to Oppose These Bills
6Beds is leading the fight! George Kutnerian will testify, and our group, led by Gina Wasdyke, will provide public comments.
