6Beds leaders and California’s Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Director Santi Rogers, are set to meet on December 18, 2014.
DDS is the agency through which the State of California provides services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
The purpose of our meeting is to acquaint Director Rogers with 6Beds’ mission and its advocacy efforts to maintain the economic viability of the six-bed community care facilities (CCF) — whose primary function is to provide a home-like and least restrictive environment to Californians with developmental disabilities.
This initial meeting will christen 6Beds’ role as an active stakeholder within the DDS’ relevant task forces or committees — mirroring its stakeholder role with the Department of Social Services (DSS).
Stay tuned.
