Please e-sign and share 6Beds’ critical e-petition to the California Department of Labor, Governor, and Federal Department of Labor to halt unjust labor audits, with as many people (family, friends and colleagues) as you can.

Dear fellow providers and friends,

We need a moratorium on (temporarily halt) unjust labor audits against California residential care homes, until a mutually agreeable plan of compliance and legislative solution is reached. We need labor laws that address the unique residential nature of these small homes.

Please e-sign this very important e-petition. 6Beds will use it to strengthen our industry’s position when its leaders meet with the Secretary of Labor, key legislators and the Governor within the next couple weeks.

If a moratorium is not granted immediately, we anticipate massive small care home closures – displacing thousands of elderly and disabled who will end up in institutions and for private pay. They will end up paying much more since assisted living facilities charge $6,000 and higher – substantially more than small care homes who cater to the low income and working class elderly.

Please share and strongly encourage you care home residents’ family members, friends and relatives to e-sign this e-petition. Their support for this issue is very important and vital to our industry’s survival. We are at a critical juncture in our fight to insure the quality of care we provide to our residents and maintain our livelihood. Support from our residents’ family and relatives exponentially augments the gravity of our cause by showing our solidarity and resolve in numbers.

Below is the link to the e-petition. It will take no more than 15 seconds to sign it. You will need to provide both a valid email address and physical address to e-sign the e-petition. This is to insure the validity of your “e-signature”.

Again, we strongly urge you – in the strongest possible sense – to share this e-petition with as many people as you can. Please encourage them to sign it. It is imperative that we show our government leaders the strength of our position through our vast network of supporters.

Only in solidarity and earnest participation can we achieve our collective objectives.

Respectfully,
